Requirement for Ontario Patients to Update their Health Card Information before Booking

Important Reminder: The "Renew Date" in your EMR is what triggers the health card update pop-up.
Two Scenarios:
A patient’s Health Card “Renew Date” has passed.
A patient’s health card “Renew Date” is within 3 months.
A patient’s Health Card “Renew Date” has passed:
When a patient attempts to book an appointment, they will enter their health card number and date of birth
2. After clicking "Proceed to Booking," a pop-up will appear prompting them that their health card is out of date, and they will need to enter their new version code and expiry date.
Please note: "New Effective Date" refers to the start date, and "New Expiry Date" indicates when the health card will need to be renewed again.

After clicking "Proceed to Booking," a pop-up will appear prompting them that their health card is about to expire and they will need to update their health card information.
Please note: If the patient does not yet have their new card, they can click on "I don't have my new card yet" and proceed with booking their appointment normally.
