Follow these steps to send a Referral Receipt to the patient when a new consultation note is created:
Create a new consultation entry from the e-Chart.

Complete the entry by filling in all required fields.
Ensure that the receipts features is enabled by having "Auto-Send is On" selected in the bottom-left.

Submit your Consultation Request. The Plug-In will automatically send an email to the patient before the window closes.
Alternatively, you can manually send the receipt by pressing "Send Receipt (SMS)" or "Send Receipt (Email)" which will open a template that you can quickly edit and send to the patient directly.
