Updating Patient Cell Phone #

When booking an appointment, the patient will asked to input or update their Cell Phone and Home Phone in Cortico. The patient can update their phone number if they need to, and it will also update their patient record in Oscar. 

Cortico stores the patient's updated Cell Phone in the Work Phone field in Oscar. This is due to Oscar not providing an interface for the actual cell phone field to Cortico, so we use Work Phone in place of it. If your clinic has SMS reminders turned on, they will be sent to the patient's Work Phone in Oscar.

 

[Please note]:

- JUNO EMR has added the interface for the Cell Phone field. This has now been resolved for clinics using JUNO as their provider (June 2021).

- (Upcoming): OpenOSP will add the interface for the Cell Phone field. The build and Cortico testing went successfully. This should be resolved for clinics using OpenOSP as their provider once the update is live.
